10 Fun Facts About the New Galaxy S26 FE
Samsung's Galaxy S26 FE has officially landed, and it's packed with more than a few surprises. Whether you're eyeing an upgrade or just curious about Samsung's latest "Fan Edition" flagship, here are 10 fun facts worth knowing.
1. It runs on the Exynos 2500 chip
The S26 FE ditches Qualcomm this generation for Samsung's own Exynos 2500, a chip built on a 3nm Gate-All-Around process with a 10-core CPU and Xclipse 950 GPU.
2. The battery is built for all-day use
It packs a 4,900mAh battery that keeps users going while maintaining the slim, refined design of the Galaxy S26 lineup.
3. Fast charging gets you there quick
A 45W adapter can charge the phone to around 69% in roughly 30 minutes.
4. The display is bright enough for outdoor use
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel runs at 120Hz with typical brightness of 1,200 nits, climbing to 1,900 nits in high-brightness mode.
5. It comes in three tasty colors
Galaxy S26 FE ships in Pistachio, Graphite, and Blueberry.
6. Samsung promises long-term software support
It's guaranteed 7 major Android OS upgrades and up to 7 years of security patches, launching with One UI 9 on Android 17.
7. The camera system got a refresh
It features a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and an 8MP telephoto, plus a 12MP front camera.
8. It's built tougher than before
The phone uses a sturdy aluminum alloy frame paired with Gorilla Glass Victus+ to handle everyday wear and tear.
9. A new AI-powered camera trick debuts here first
The software introduces "My FanCam," a feature that tracks a subject in video for easy social sharing, alongside new AI features powered by Gemini Omni.
10. It launches at a higher price than its predecessor
The Galaxy S26 FE debuts at $699 — $50 more than the S25 FE — and becomes available on September 4.
Whether the price hike is worth it depends on what you're after — but with a fresh chipset, a longer software lifeline, and a few new AI tricks, the Galaxy S26 FE remains one of the more compelling mid-range flagships on the market.
