GTA 6 Isn't Coming to PC. Here's What Pakistani Gamers Should Do.

Here is the sentence most Pakistani gamers have not fully absorbed yet: GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. There is no PC version. Rockstar has not announced one, has not hinted at a date, and has never once shipped a mainline Grand Theft Auto on PC alongside consoles.

If you game on a PC — and in Pakistan, most people do — that is the whole story. You are not getting GTA 6 in November.

How long is the wait, realistically?

Rockstar has a pattern, and it is a long one.

Nobody outside Rockstar knows the GTA 6 number. But if the pattern holds, a PC release lands somewhere between late 2027 and 2028. Treat any website giving you a confident PC date as guessing — because they are.

So the real question is not "when is PC?" It is: is this game worth buying a console for, or worth waiting roughly two years for?

Option 1: wait for PC

Perfectly reasonable, and cheaper than everyone admits.

What waiting gets you. The PC version will almost certainly be the best-looking one — higher frame rates, mods, ultrawide support, and by 2028 your existing rig may already be enough. It will also arrive after every launch bug has been patched, which for a Rockstar open world is not a small thing. And you will not spend a rupee in November.

What waiting costs you. Two years of spoilers. GTA is a cultural event in Pakistan — the story will be on every feed, every group chat, every YouTube thumbnail within a week. Waiting means watching from outside. If that does not bother you, waiting is genuinely the smart financial call and you should stop reading here.

Option 2: buy a console

If you want to play in November, you need a PS5 or a Series X|S. There is no third path — no cloud service in Pakistan will carry it at launch, and streaming a twitch-heavy open world over Pakistani home internet is not a serious plan.

Here is what that actually costs today on Harib:

Add the game itself — $79.99 standard, $99.99 Ultimate, roughly Rs 22,000–28,000 at today's rate — and the cheapest legitimate way into GTA 6 in Pakistan is about Rs 112,000 all-in on a used Series S.

That is real money. It is also less than a mid-range phone, and a console holds its value here far better than a graphics card does.

The honest comparison

A PC gamer's instinct is to compare a Rs 90,000 Series S against a Rs 90,000 GPU and conclude the console is a poor deal. That comparison is wrong, because the two things are not substitutes for the next two years. For GTA 6 specifically, the Series S is the only Rs 90,000 option. The alternative is not a cheaper way to play — it is not playing.

But be honest about what the cheap end gives you. The Series S is the weakest machine GTA 6 will run on: 1440p-class output, lower texture quality, and only 512GB of storage against a game estimated at 150–200GB plus a 30–50GB day-one patch. What we would actually do

If GTA is your game — if you put hundreds of hours into GTA V, if this is the reason you game at all — buy a used console. A like-new PS5 Slim at Rs 175,000 is the sweet spot: enough storage to be a real console rather than a single-game appliance, and it will still be worth most of that money in two years when you sell it.

If you are curious but not devoted — wait for PC. You will pay less, play a better version, and your rig will be newer by then. Put the Rs 175,000 into your PC instead; our budget build guide will stretch it further than a console will.

If you are on the fence — wait until October. Console prices in Pakistan tend to climb into a launch this size, but they also spike again after launch when demand is proven. Buying in the quiet weeks before the rush is usually the best window, and you will have two more months of information.

What we would not do is buy a PS4 or an Xbox One because it is cheap. They will not run GTA 6, at any price, ever. There are several on the market right now that will tempt you — we listed exactly which ones to avoid.

One last thing for PC players

If you do buy a console for this, you do not have to keep it. Consoles resell quickly in Pakistan and hold value well — finish the game, sell the box, and your real cost is the difference. Plenty of people will do exactly that, and the ones who buy used in the first place will lose the least.
